Sharon Osbourne Collapses At Her Home Due To 'Extreme Exhaustion'

Sharon Osbourne has collapsed 'from mental and physical fatigue' at her home in Los Angeles and will now take a one month break from her CBS show The Talk. A spokesperson for Ozzy Osbourne's wife said Saturday that the 62-year-old's doctors say she is suffering from 'extreme exhaustion.' 'Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events,' her rep said. 'Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support.'

The rep explained that the incident occurred after Sharon returned from a busy trip to New York and Toronto. The TV personality's doctors believe she returned to work too soon after being hospitalized earlier this year for pneumonia. In March, Sharon's daughter Kelly Osbourne sat in for her mom on The Talk after her mom came down with pneumonia following hernia surgery.

In 2002, Sharon was treated for colorectal cancer and in 2012, she underwent a preventative double mastectomy after it was revealed she carried a gene for breast cancer. The Osbournes matriarch has been part of The Talk since its debut in October 2010. She joins Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler on the weekday show to discuss the news of the day from 'a mother's perspective' and chat with celebrity guests. There's no news yet on who will fill in for her during her recovery.

I’m comfortable with directing good wishes at people who don’t dispose people like us and everything we hold dear with every fiber of their being.

Ouch! That's a little too heavy metal for me. I guess I'm old.

The lady has cancer....and chemo treatments are a big factor in extreme fatigue. I was quite serious.

My friend's daughter works for her, has for a long time (wardrobe, etc.) and they've gotten pretty close. My friend's daughter is having her first in a long time weekend off, so she's in Palm Springs this weekend. Those people work pretty hard with all that "show biz" stuff.
