LATE SCHUBERT PIANO PIECES

The “moderato” marking in 2/4 belies the seriousness and passion of this short piece in A-B-A format. After a silence, the “B” panel executes an enharmonic shift to D-flat. The “A” panel returns, but the short coda is based on a tiny fragment of both “A” and “B”.

I'm doing the Beethoven thing in little bits each weekend, short piano pieces to fill in, and for the Chapel, I've found classical composers who set psalms to music. It keeps me busy.

It's nice to bring a little beauty into the lives of our Canteen gang.

We always seem to do this! LOL!

It’s been a long weekend even though it barely started. My MIL fell and broke her right femur up by the hip socket and is in the hospital. We’ve been here since Wednesday. She’s making progress every day, but it’s going to be a long slow process before she will be able to walk well on her own.

AND she has already said she wants to drive to Missouri in July. WhatEVER! LOL!
