A Counter Proposal For European Immigration

Europe is now being flooded with immigrants, chiefly from Africa or the Arab world, those least likely to assimilate well.

Europe is being overrun. Now, this would not necessarily be a disaster, if the immigrants were assimilable en masse. As one who scours old history books, there was a massive scare around 1900 that the United States was accepting too many non-Anglo-Saxons. Chinese immigrants were called "yellow celestials," East Europeans were despised, and while the Irish were Northwest European, a feather in their cap, they were still suspiciously Catholic.

Yet, the USA survived, essentially because most of our immigrants came from a European Christian background. This is not true in today’s Europe, where most of these immigrants are from non-Christian, often non-white backgrounds. Unlike in America, they are not assimilating.

We here in America are being inundated with immigrants, but -- in spite of complaints -- they are more assimilable that what is arriving in Europe. A Mexican Catholic is still Christian, speaks an Indo-European tongue, and while not an American, is culturally closer to the United States than a Moroccan Muslim is in France.

With this in mind, may I make some bold suggestions, which are quite serious, and not to be taken as farce.

Europe owes no obligation to African, and Islamic immigrants as a result of empire. While France, Italy, England, and Spain were in North Africa, for roughly a hundred years, Muslims were in Spain for almost 800 years, Italy for centuries, Malta for centuries, the Balkans for centuries, and are still in possession of Anatolia (Turkey).

Christianity has become the snake which eats itself. By promoting the Christian concept of equality above all others, Western culture finds itself in the predicament of granting as "equal", cultures which are not in fact equal, but which are instead very backward and primitive.

By welcoming the people from such cultures into a Christian created Western society, they are effectively destroying the foundation of what caused them to be successful in the first place.

Let's face it folks. It is Christianity which created the modern Western Civilization. No other doctrine could tame the wild passions of man sufficiently to create a social environment which could have advanced science and industry.

Where are all the other non-Christian civilization? I'll tell you where they are. They are on the ash heap of history, which is where Europe will soon be if they don't wake up and smell the foundational principles.

Some Christians say, “Oh, God must approve of massive immigration! After all, we should be nice. Let’s let them all in and we’ll witness to them! We’ll make them Christians!” Well, that’s not what ends up happening. Instead, the non-Christian immigrants make this a less and less Christian country, where increasingly, American Christians can’t even express their faith lest they “offend.”

The Bible does say “Go, and makes disciples of all men,” but I think the key word is “go.” As in, send missionaries. I can’t think of anywhere in the Bible where it says, “Open up your borders, let the pagans into your land, and then witness to them.”

I agree that European countries (and the US, which has European roots and culture) should take in only people from “affiliated” groups - that is, Latin Americans, Christian Africans (mostly from the former British or French colonies), Asians and SE Asians from places that had had a lot of contact with or influence from European Christian culture, etc.

I just got back from Europe, and I don’t think Americans grasp the magnitude of the problem. Literally thousands of mostly Muslim “immigrants” arrive every day on the beaches of Italy or are rescued from the sea at great personal risk and expense by the Italian or other Mediterranean European coast guard or navies. They are promptly parceled out into Europe, put on welfare, and begin to attack their host country almost immediately.

The Italians are complaining that they can’t possibly accept any more, which is true, but the solution of the EU powers that be is not to say, “okay, we return these people immediately to their places of origin” - but instead, to say, “No, we’ve got to do more to provide places for them, and we have the obligation to distribute them throughout Europe.”

It’s true that the “immigrants” don’t compete with natives for jobs, since they don’t work and live on a combination of welfare and crime, but paying welfare to hundreds of thousands of “immigrants” is something that European countries simply can’t afford to do.

When I was writing the above, btw, I realized that the big problem is Islam. The US has successfully incorporated and even benefitted from immigrants from all over the world, including Asia and Africa...but only if they are not Muslim. Islam is the thing that makes “coexistence” impossible. But the sad thing is that no one, particularly in the EU, can state the obvious.

Of course, it’s not just the EU. Obama is bringing in hundreds of thousands of Muslim “refugees” through executive orders and simply scattering them throughout all of our country so that there will be no place safe from them.
