I hear ya' - but was thinking of the Old Testament story of when King David's son raped his sister Tamar, and David just pretended it didn't happen - never could figure that one out.

I heard a sermon once that David’s failed reign even though God loved him went back to Bathsheba. He never had the moral authority to control his children.
