Not sure who this would be, Mitt bowed out and Chris Christie's star is fading. The only other across the board liberal Republican running is Lindsey Graham, whose chances at the nomination are zero.
Jeb doesn't need to talk sense when he has the whole RNC political machine backing him up and guarding his flank.
You are assuming that these people use language to explicate and clarify, rather than obfuscate and distract. If there isn’t a smidgen of evidence, there could be more evidence than a smidgen, and the statement would still be true.
It’s a similar case with Hillary’s statement. She was probably telling the truth that there is not a shred of evidence. There were undoubtedly multiple shreds, but they were burned, deleted, or dissolved in an acid bath.
I think he just completely disqualified himself with that one. Conservatives hate him because he’s practically a Mexican National, and the left will hate him because they believe the NSA has surveillance everywhere, including their bedrooms.

Hillary Clinton has been using that line for the past thirty years! Maybe Jeb would do better on the Democratic ticket with Hillary. Not sure which one should be the Vice President.
It doesn’t matter that no one’s robbed the bank yet, why would we put all the money and valuables in a safe and lock the doors?
