Turkey's state intelligence agency helped deliver arms to parts of Syria under Islamist rebel control during late 2013 and early 2014, according to a prosecutor and court testimony from gendarmerie officers seen by Reuters.

The witness testimony contradicts Turkey's denials that it sent arms to Syrian rebels and, by extension, contributed to the rise of Islamic State, now a major concern for the NATO member.

Syria and some of Turkey's Western allies say Turkey, in its haste to see President Bashar al-Assad toppled, let fighters and arms over the border, some of whom went on to join the Islamic State militant group which has carved a self-declared caliphate out of parts of Syria and Iraq.

If you were Assad...what would you do to your neighbor now? I’d find some anti-gov’t players in Turkey and provide funding to create chaos within Turkey.

what a tangled web

How about unsolvable civilization-ending mess? When (not if) ISIS gets a corridor to the Med, I'd think southern Europe is in serious jeopardy. And in Northern Europe, NATO is poking the bear.

I wonder if it what evolves will be something as simple as a world war. Could it end with a half dozen or so major conflicts, with inter-locking and contradictory loyalties? And when everything comes tumbling down, it will then be Christian vs Muslim.

All of this is because Obama has no clarity in identifying and fighting the real enemy...radical Islam.

I disagree, he knows exactly what he is doing! He is a treacherous SOB who believes Shite belief that only Armageddon will bring on the 12th Madii and a Islamic caliphate for the entire world.

The man is not only the enemy of the USA but the entire western civilization

ISIS is a Turk/State/Qatari operation. Probably Saudi too, although they were quicker than the others to see the PR problem.
