Recently I have been getting my morning news from NHK online at 7 am EDT (45 minutes of “evening news” from Tokyo), then switching to Sky News online at 8, all the while reading this site, of course. NHK has a genteel left leaning, Sky a genteel right leaning, and FR is FR. About as balanced a combination as it gets.

I’ve boycotted all of them since 2005; I don’t think it has helped much. I still watch ‘’The McLaughlin Group’’ to hear Pat Buchanan.

I don’t know about that. Listening to Stephanopoulos should give us a clue as to where the Clinton forces will next attack. Knowing your opponents thought processes is helpful.

It is intellectual dishonesty with the networks. If they stuck with entertainment...no one would say much. But they’ve put themselves into a king-maker situation. News isn’t news anymore....it’s hype.
Feb. 12, 1999 was the day the United States Senate failed to do its Constitutional duty. A man had committed perjury, suborned perjury, ordered others to hide evidence, intimidated witnesses, used taxpayer-paid resources to cover up. Yet, he was acquitted in his impeachment trial.
That is the day I ripped cable out of the wall and have never looked back.

So henceforth, all conservatives, Republicans, and whistleblowers should adopt a strategy for going on these shows. This guy was talking about Pillory Clinton, so his first answer to the first question should be “are you a donor or supporter of ....?” and put the interviewer on the spot to either bald-faced lie, tell the truth to put full disclosure out there upfront, or be an actual, fair and balanced interviewer.
I wonder how Steponallofus would have responded if asked on live TV “are you a donor to the Clinton Foundation?” as the first response?
That had been determined in the House. Their Constitutional function was to determine whether or not he actually DID what he was impeached for, to determine removal. Knowing they were not trying to determine these facts, it became a forgone conclusion that Slick would not be removed.
I hung in there with cable TV until Gore conceded before pulling the plug. My wife couldn't take it anymore, it was like having live streaming prostitute cameras or other filth beamed directly into the living room.

haven’t watched any TV News from CBSNBCABC in decades. I have only watched a few moments of Fox on rare occasions. CNNPMSNBC - I have no idea which channel they are even on. I refuse to read propaganda “newspapers” or magazines, and in the car I listen to my own music, not radio.
I get my news on the Internet - and even that, I don’t really believe significant amounts of it.

We all knew the inevitable conclusion. NO DEMOCRAT would ever vote to convict another Democrat no matter what he did.
Clinton solidified that position on the day he visited the Murrah Bldg in OKC. From AF-1 he was on KMOX in St. Louis blasting Jerry Falwell and “that damned video.” That video was THE CLINTON CHRONICLES. I am good friends with the producer. Clinton wanted people to believe it was the “Falwell” video. Falwell had nothing to do with its production. He was one of the many people who distributed it. But Clinton brilliantly created what has saved him and other RATS —— you have to stay with them no matter what because you have to beat the dreaded right wing.
