One of my very good, Cuban-American friends is named “Vicente” but everyone calls him “Vin” or “Vinny” because his dad is “Vin”. ;-)
I suppose, however, that you must be Italian. ;-)

Well, that could be because I speak several languages. In alpha order, so as not to offend, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish are very closely related to the original Latin so that I knew it had to be one of those. With a good foundation in Latin it is relatively easy to translate between all of those or at the very least, get the ‘gist’ of what is being said. ;-)
No problem, I read a lot- so, it’s easy to share. And, in that I’ve notice that you defend Ted Cruz, here’s a great article from 2014 written by a liberal, Jeff Toobin. I can’t post it because FR doesn’t allow New Yorker articles, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
