38 states have already amended their state constitutions, passed state legislation, held state voter referendums to uphold tradition marriage.

It is the federal courts for the most part that are overturning the will of the people and their state legislatures in many of the 38 states that move to uphold traditional marriage.

Where federal courts overstep their bounds as servants of the people and their reps, I am wholly against it. Well, who cares about what I think, the Constitution is against it.

But as someone said upthread, propaganda works. In most states if there were a straight up referendum vote gay marriage would pass today.

Admittedly, it’s propaganda plus knowing people who are gay and thus “want” gay marriage. But it was not long ago when prominent gays didn’t want or need gay “marriage.” They only wanted to be able to have hospital visitation and rights of inheritance. Propaganda helped shove 99% of all gays and their friends to needing the word marriage to be corrupted after only thousands of years...

I just want conservatives to stop fighting this. It’s not a good hill to die on as we will lose. Drop it like it’s hot and let’s focus on so many essential things, like freedom.

And if you are extremely attached to this issue, frame it differently. I have. I want to stand up and FIGHT for the rights of religious Christians. I’m a Jew but I see what is happening. Wonderful gay characters in every movie and show. NO RELIGIOUS CHRISTIAN CHARACTERS unless they are Catholic and usually from another country. We need to start fighting for white Christians to be positively depicted. They are not.
