Did anyone think Putin would just roll over and play dead after the sanctions were created? Why do we pimp with Russia when we’re broke and have our own problems? Let Europe deal with its own issues for once.

Amen. Let Europe put together some expeditionary forces while we lend some first rate support for a change, if it’s such a big deal.

It’s surprising what we “need” from Russia considering we’re part of a North Atlantic alliance with branch offices on the Black, Baltic, and Barents Sea. I think we’re losing an opportunity with a potentially stellar ally in the fight against Islamic terrorism and expansionism.

No, not even the airspace.

Don't worry, though, as long as the poppy harvest is good the additional cost of transporting men and equipment by other routes is a drop in the bucket.

Hell, we're using it to get to our own space station.
