You really think China would want a ROK all the way up to the Manchurian Border?

It would be advantageous for four reasons: it would end the refugee problem of NKs crossing the border into China; it would give the Chinese one less headache in terms of rogue regimes it feels it has to act like it supports; it would provide 25,000,000 new customers over the next generation; and since there is no reason for the Koreans to cross the Yalu and invade, the PLA could concentrate on China's more pressing military-related issue, the jihadists in the western provinces.

You.....are saying a collapse of the NK regime would not occasion an IMMENSE increase in DPRK refugees, fleeing into China..?

That is the very first time I have ever heard that.

You also think the PRC would not feel threatened in, say, 25 years after the two Koreas had become one and lay directly to her south..?

You are saying this...?

This would be my very first time reading that.
