That's going to be our big problem leading up to 2016: invalidly assuming that Dems will care. They won't. They did not care about Bill Clinton lying. They did not care about his taking advantage of an intern. They did not care about allegations of forcible rape. THEY DON'T CARE. They only care about whether their agenda is forwarded.
There is no getting through to the hard-wired. They only care, as you say, about their socialist agenda.
But there is the seed of the workaround in your own comment. These dedicated, left-over-from 1930’s leftists are indeed committed voters but there are fewer and fewer of them. More and more are those who, don’t get me wrong, out of ignorance or fecklessness, vote democrat. But more and more of them are or should be persuadable that the fiscal future of this country will either crush them, deny them the opportunity they seek or force them into tax slavery for much of their lives if indeed they are aspirational, career-wise.
I am not going to try to convince you of any sort of pollyanna optimism, I believe we are a hair’s breadth away from the tipping point in this grand battle. That being said, the effort of persuasion is very conceivably viable if directed at the young; this is what Mark Levin’s next book is supposedly about and I think he is on to something. Because as with every generation, there is going to come the point where these glossy-eyed utopian young’uns see that the tax burden and societal bruden imposed by feeding the endless illegals and the urban feral are going to land square on their shoulders.
This Hillary thing is IMHO VERY WIDELY illuminating to the ignoranti. It has not played out yet.
