LAKE MARY, Fla. —

The man accused of shooting at George Zimmerman bonded out of jail Saturday afternoon.

Channel 9 was there as Matthew Apperson walked out of the Seminole County Jail. He had no comment.

A judge set a $35,000 bond for Apperson earlier in the day and ordered him to turn in any guns to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours of his release, and to have no contact with Zimmerman.

"I don't care whether you've been shopping at Publix for two hours and have a full cart of groceries or whatever. You see Mr. Zimmerman walking through that door, you're the one that has to leave," the judge said.

Maybe the judge wanted to give Apperson another shot at taking down Zimmerman.

That would explain why Apperson got such low bail and/or was allowed bail.

That’s what I thought, it’s the same kind of judicial thinking that gets so many abused women beaten to death or shot.

Lake Mary police are the same ones that got pressure over not arresting GZ when his wife claimed he flashed a gun. I do believe they are trying to avoid more pressure. One good thing we have going for us right now is that the local press do not like Apperson and neither do a lot of his neighbors. His mental problems are now outed due to this incident and people who want to claim him as their hero show their own mental problems.

Maybe the judge wanted to give Apperson another shot at taking down Zimmerman.

If all else fails, the trial judge will give him that opportunity. Yep...Judge Debra Nelson will be hearing the case. The same one that presided over Zimmermans trial.

There's evidently only one judge in all of Florida

yea, something is missing here. The guys tries to shoot GZ in the head then states to the cops “I hope I got him THIS TIME”... and he walks out on 35K bond? If this was considered a complete set of facts, he would be charged with attempted murder and bail would be exponentially higher... he wouldn’t be getting out. For some reason the judge doesn’t see the risk of a repeat as being high. I don’t get it.

given the judge’s utter lack of perspective...is surprised that HE...is “ out walking around.”

ONLY $35,000?! For firing a pistol at the guy’s head at point blank range?!

The more usual bond would have been $250,000 AND the police would have executed a search warrant on all the shooter's vehicles, living quarters, and storage places known looking for and confiscating any weapons.

The bond and conditions are suspiciously little for attempted premeditated murder.

Is this another one of those popular FL Republican politicians? Is she for Jebbie or Rubio?

So now IF the creep follows Zimmerman, George has every right to fear for his life and shoot the ass-wipe dead on the spot.

Can`t Zimmerman`s lawyer file a motion to have another judge set bail?

I wonder if they were issued a warrant to search his home for any papers, documents, computers, phones, hard drives, etc.

It is a common warrant for assassination attempts, or even attempts at premeditated murder.

At least they did not ROR him. I thought that would be what happened. I still believe that the State Attorney will either drop the charges or allow him to plead to misdemeanor charges. I also believe that he is politically connected somewhere.

I think another judge did. Nelson was picked to be the trial judge.

The only rational explanation to him: 1. With the police record that some say he has. 2. Not being charged with at least attempted second degree murder. 3. Having such a low bond. Is that somewhere he has political connections. and I believe that there is the same chance that the police would enforce the no contact order is they are that the sun will rise Monday morning in the west.

I used to live in Seminole County, and I did jury duty once and Judge Nelson was over that case. Granted, it was a simple and apolitical case of robbery - but I thought she was balanced and reasonable back then.

All the jurors even met her after the trial was over, and toured her office. The only thing I really remember is that she had elephants everywhere decorating her office - indicating she was a Republican. (I know that doesn’t mean anything - just an interesting memory).

I don’t know either, but you can bet your ass that he has connections somewhere.
