People assume I’m an idiot or tgat I’m wrong or tgat I don’t know about money because I’m a girl

There’s no commission

He makes more money for the same job. I’m a former mil officer he’s retired enlisted. I made more as an officer tgan he did. Now in civilian world he makes more. I have more education and experience. We have the same job. I have much more to do. I am given much more to do

Make less

Isn’t that against the law?

Take it to the DOL, or send out some resumes.

Well then your boss is a moron!

He should fire the guy and hire two more women.

It could be that your boss is clueless and does not realize that you produce more than the other guy.

It could be that the other guy does things that your boss values more than what you do. I remember one client of mine from years ago, who would pay me a lot of money because I had a knack for fixing problems before they escalated into a crisis that would get the attention of HIS boss. I made him look good. As a result, he continued to get me paid big bucks (even though there were other people who would get the work done more cheaply) because of the intangible comfort he would feel, knowing that I would cover his back and make him look good.

Perhaps you could look closely at what the other guy delivers to your common boss that your boss might especially value.

“He makes more money for the same job.”

Then sue them. It is against the law to do that. Assuming it happens for real and not just in your imagination.

You might want to look at your contract. It may have details on how the company structures its pay - longevity, shifts, qualifications, etc. But if he is getting more for being a he - which I very strongly doubt - you’ll be able to retire off your winnings in court.
