To: Second Amendment First

You throw rocks at a moving vehicle you should be tried found guilty and jailed. But how does getting hit by a rock increase speed to 106 mph? My understanding is that the throttle is a dead man. So if the engineer got dinged he held onto the throttle while he was dinging. Possible I guess but highly improbable.

This reminds me of an educational film I saw as a kid.

Some boys threw rocks at a train thinking it was great fun.

The engineer was shown being blinded by the breaking glass, covering his eyes.

The next scene was the apologetic boy visiting the now bandaged over one eye engineer in the hospital.

The lesson?

Bad boys, DON'T throw rocks at trains!

Wish I knew what that film was called.

It never occurred to me to throw a rock at a train.

But it still made me feel terrible.
