Isn’t this the kind of mission that is supposed to be under the radar?
Somebody decided to brag up the results. My guess is that it was leaked to make Obama look like a hero.
Now everyone on the planet knows we have special forces in Syria. Now they will be on the lookout.
Yep.
Of course, everything is about him.
I hear children all over America singing new verses of:
"Barack Hussein Obama, ummm, ummm, ummmmm".
Yep this was 100% done to make Obama look like he’s a kick-ass president. He was egged on by many conservatives calling him a coward if he didn’t get over there and kick some ass.
Looks like they got what they wanted.
We should not be over there doing the scut work for Muslims. Let them take care of their own problems for a change.
Delta Force missions are classified. In fact, no special operator is supposed to give any details of any mission. The idea is that it could reveal tactics and techniques to any enemy, thereby increasing the vulnerability of the special operators on their next mission.
For the longest time, the US didn’t even acknowledge the existence of Delta Force. I’m not sure that has officially changed.
I know everyone loves Chris Kyle, but one sector of criticism for Chris Kyle came from within the special operator ranks. Not because he wasn’t one of them, and not because he’d openly violated any classified material. It was an ethos of silence that was broken, and some thought that silence had a reason behind it.
I’ve noticed them trying to walk back the Osama bin Laden hit in the media recently with confusion about Pakistanis being introduced into the mix. That gives some idea in my mind about how precious silence about their operations is to them.
Yes, one would think so, wouldn't one?
But one would be mistaken if it's a mission that might help 0's political fortunes.
Pray for the continued safety of these Delta Force soldiers and their families until January 20th, 2017.
You win the cigar!
