A passenger traveling along the same route the night that Amtrak Train 188 derailed in Philadelphia told NBC News that an object hit his train, shattering the window.
The account from Johns Hopkins student Justin Landis makes him the third person to report a projectile hitting a train Tuesday night in that area, and comes a day after the National Transportation Safety Board said investigators were working to determine whether something struck the doomed Amtrak train before it derailed. Eight people were killed and about 200 others were injured in the accident.

yes the operator error has been well established.
I just wasnt familiar with the fact that trying to break train windows with rocks was such a popular sport in certain urban “communities.

Chief Moose from the DC Sniper case.
seems like that was the scenario. haste..made waste
Its why trains seldom carry new cars on open train cars anymore. Trains are still hauling cars out of Detroit and where ever else they’re built but they carry them on closed rail cars.
And I thought I was the only one wondering why all the buzz about a rock.....when the real question is why the increase in speed and application of emergency brake???All railroad men KNOW you don’t emergency brake going into a turn......the front brakes first and the momentum from the rest of the train pushes the leading cars off the rails........
Maybe it was Hillary throwing ashtrays
Charles Moose was the uniformed idiot (police chief) who kept lying to us about disgruntled white men in a white box truck.
—Passenger on Amtrak Locomotive Says His Train Was Also Struck by Object
Well, theres the issue. They are allowing passengers to rid on the locomotives.
Dozens and dozens of editors .
When I was a kid, we used to put pennies on the track to flatten them.
I’ll have to remember this one.
“Yes officer, I realize I hit this guy in the crosswalk and he was dragged 50 yards. I can’t seem to remember now what happened exactly, but as I recall I was driving down the street about 35 mph. Suddenly something hit the side of my car. My car sped up to 75 mph. I blacked out. My car hit this individual two steps before he reached curb. I somehow overcame my unconscious state and hit my brakes. The car rolled. The pedestrian was killed”
“I need an attorney.”

Which then made the train accelerate to twice the limit and crash.
Maybe there was some plan put together by a few someones to create an “accident” which would then make someone look prescient? Just throwing it out there is all. Sure seems to be a heck of a lot of objects suddenly hitting a lot of trains...you know...suddenly...
This is what I dont understand, if this Amtrak train was hit(According to a woman in the cafeteria cart who overheard the Engineer saying his train was hit by something) if the Engineer was able to say that his train was hit, it didnt affect the speed limit of the train, so how did that supposed object cause the train to go from 50 mph to 106 at just the exact moment it had reached the curve..how very convenient
Several years so I took Amtrak several times back and forth between New Orleans and Los Angeles. The Amtrak station in El Paso is literally right on the Mexican border. My windows have been hit more than once by rocks when sitting in the station. The hurlers were young men sitting on the US side of the border. It was pretty scary.
It goes far beyond operator error..this was no mistake, I don’t know anything about trains and even I know you don’t drive 106 miles an hour when you go through a curve, that is just common sense..the media has been protecting this gay rights activist engineer from the very beginning..CNN has turned him into a hero, he could run for President and have a decent chance of winning the way they are portraying him
Looks like the projectile didn’t make it through the window.
