Realistically, the 'hispanic' vote is tiny compared to the base.

I see a lot of over-reaction here on FR about those little slivers of votes.

The base is where everyone wins or loses.

Not the tiny little voting groups.

I believe 40% of Hispanics voted for him in Texas senate election and he had the same views then as now.

I agree...particularly if your natural base is the WHITE VOTE. I STRONGLY question those advisers (most of them gay, by the way) that INSIST we cannot win without them, and then say that the only way to get them is Amnesty. As I point out on my “About” page, Republicans did JUST FINE with the Hispanic vote last year, throughout the South, and they didn’t do a damn thing to pander to them.
