How many Fed executions in the last few decades? McVeigh was pretty quick, but I’m not remembering many more.

Hopefully he knew it was his brother. Would have been good karma.

“Unless they execute him in the next 48 hours, grind him up and feed him to pigs, there is no justice in the world.”

Agreed but I might suggest a different order.
Feed him to hungry pigs, they’ll do the executing and grinding.

THAT’S Justice !

Only the President can commute his sentence. He is in the Federal prison.

He'll die an old man on the taxpayer dime.

If so, as my dear wife points out, the good news is that he'll be a pretty boy among the prison population -- and we know what that means.

He’s already sentenced to death, but wouldn’t it be FUN to try him for his brother’s murder?

“Timmy’s was a federal case wasn’t it? In Taxachusetts they have no death penalty. Obummer will pardon the little camel jockey and send him back to the desert before he ever gets snuffed for his crime.”

The Boston bomber is a federal case, too. He is not a camel jockey, instead an ethnic Chechen, like a Russian.

Unfortunately, thanks to a drawn-out appeal process, Tsarnaev will practically be dead of old age before he’s actually executed. Isn’t the typical time interval between initial death sentence and execution something like 20 years? It will probably be even more for a high-profile case like this one.

“Tsarnaev will practically be dead of old age before he’s actually executed.”

I think if he dies of old age, they will not have to execute him.

There is a place not to far from my home here in the UP of MI, it is an open Iron Ore mine that has lots of water in it and periodically the walls collapse, and the mine gets wider, but the water just gets dirtier. Tried a sounding of it at 1500 feet still had not hit bottom.

Just looking a photo of one of those bare, tiny cells gives me the creeps. I would be stark, staring mad in 24 hours if locked in one of those.

One shouldn't presume that all people are extroverts. An introvert would lock the door from the inside and read books all day long. Or write them. Or engage in other mind games. An introvert does not need society; he avoids it.

I’m an introvert. I’m still sure I would go totally mad.
