BREAKING: Dzhokhar #Tsarnaev is to be executed for the Boston Marathon bombing.
How many Fed executions in the last few decades? McVeigh was pretty quick, but I’m not remembering many more.
Hopefully he knew it was his brother. Would have been good karma.

Only the President can commute his sentence. He is in the Federal prison.
If so, as my dear wife points out, the good news is that he'll be a pretty boy among the prison population -- and we know what that means.
He’s already sentenced to death, but wouldn’t it be FUN to try him for his brother’s murder?

He gets off easy.

The Boston bomber is a federal case, too. He is not a camel jockey, instead an ethnic Chechen, like a Russian.
Unfortunately, thanks to a drawn-out appeal process, Tsarnaev will practically be dead of old age before he’s actually executed. Isn’t the typical time interval between initial death sentence and execution something like 20 years? It will probably be even more for a high-profile case like this one.

I think if he dies of old age, they will not have to execute him.
There is a place not to far from my home here in the UP of MI, it is an open Iron Ore mine that has lots of water in it and periodically the walls collapse, and the mine gets wider, but the water just gets dirtier. Tried a sounding of it at 1500 feet still had not hit bottom.
