After a drunken game of Monopoly went awry, a woman picked up a planter and belted her male opponent in the head, say Saskatchewan police.
RCMP officers arrested both of them in North Battleford, Sask. after receiving a 911 call at 3:44 a.m. Wednesday morning. The woman, 43, was then charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
These two individuals that were involved in this incident were very familiar with them, and we deal with them on a regular basis, said Sgt. Amber Clark.

I suspect neither the assailant nor the assailed have ever won $10 for second prize in a beauty contest.

Maybe the pot was the hat upside-down.

Perhaps she wanted Park Avenue instead she winded up with Baltic Avenue =)

I assuming that by “pot” they meant her stack of money and I was wondering how a few little fake paper moneys could hurt anyone.

Apparently a spat between two drunks in rural Saskatchewan is national news in Canada.

Wrong game.
She should have been playing “Mr. Green, with the lampstick, in the Library...”

This could have been my sister. She used to get SO angry when playing Monopoly during family game night that she would stomp out of the room, shouting and crying.
She won’t even allow the board in her house, 40 years later!

were very familiar with them, and we deal with them on a regular basis,
I had real awful neighbors for one VERY long year in my first house. The cops were there every 2 or 3 days. One of my friends was dating an officer at the time. The entire department hated these fools. It was like baby sitting feral children even though they were all adults. They officers would use responding to them as betting chips and the loser of the bet would be the cop that had to go deal with them.
