Yeah he did the same in Chicago. Had a 20 year old open for him. Kid was great.

I saw him about the same time - maybe a bit more recently - and it was a similar thing. He sat most of the time, and I think his son carried about half of the show. I was thinking it was maybe time to put Lucille back in the guitar case, but entertainers like to entertain.
