He may be an evil, bloodthirsty, heathen thug, but at least he’s an honest, evil, bloodthirsty, heathen thug! Amazing that the leader of the world’s most dangerous terrorist group is fundamentally more honest than the leader of the world’s most powerful nation.

Why George Bush felt the need to say that, I never understood. Except that he grew up in the oil industry, and was friends with all the Arabs who pretended to be nice when they were doing oil deals in Texas. But that just meant he was easily fooled.
