To: The Ghost of FReepers Past

The critically injured will get a lot more than the estates of the dead. Dead people have no long-term medical care, living expenses, or long term pain and suffering.

$200 million isn’t even close to enough.

There are 8 dead and only a few critically injured. Like I said before, most of the money should go to them. You are right about the critically injured needing more for medical care. I’m just saying the people who walked away with scrapes or bruises don’t need big windfalls.

Lawyers will unfortunately walk away with most of it.

And there will be lawyer's fees as well. A severely injured person who is awarded, say, $750,000 is not going to actually get $750,000. It's a real mess.
