Don’t forget the environmentalists that say we need to reduce the global population to roughly 100 million for Gaia’s sake.

If we weren’t so well armed, they might make good on that wish.

Many here are actively doing the Left’s job for them - they have fallen into the Left’s habit and philosophy as stated by Rush; it’s not the facts of the matter, it’s the seriousness of the charge. They will be the death of us and then whine that nothing ever changes....

Well then, ya dummies, clean out your party leadership and make it representative of the rank and file, because right now it’s like the GOP is playing chicken with its own voters in trying to find the most objectionable leftist candidates people will still vote for.

quote “All it would have taken back in 2005 when the Republicans controlled Congress and had a reasonably socially conservative President in office was to remove marriage from the competency and jurisdiction of the federal courts per Congress’ implied power in Article III, Section 2. No need for DOMA, no need for a federal marriage amendment – simply bar the courts from appellate jurisdiction over state marriage laws in toto. “

Nope, never would have happened. It was already too late then. The left already had enough vote to block any such vote at that point, they were just lying about their true beliefs to get elected. Just like most politicians lie about how they really feel about abortion. RINO’s say they are against abortion, but it's all for show to get votes. Most secretly support it and if pushed came to shove would vote against any measure (likely to pass) that would outlaw it.

Yes, we SHOULD believe what the Leftists tell us.

After all, they’ve only been telling us since the 1960’s that they want us dead.

Agreed. One of the most insidious negatives on FR is incipient cynicism. The “It’s too late to do anything about it” crowd pops it ugly head up on nearly every thread. If their minds are so numbed as to be incapable of thinking their way out of the paper bag they are stuck in they should shut up and listen, not babble their incoherent fear.

Yes - they should shut up and listen to folks yell at them for not supporting the latest milquetoast!

Most of the people yelling for people to listen aren’t saying anything that is helpful.

More of the same. Where there is open dialogue the opportunity for truth is present. Not all ideas are tinged with genius but genius never comes without the struggle of working through bad ideas. The conversation is the key. Negative nellies want to shut down all discourse. They believe themselves too wise to think.

Yashcheritsiy :" Start paying attention, folks!"

Right - and report the news the way we want.
Faux pews had changed its brand to include more liberal views and reporting , but it is still being chastized by the administration since it doesn't cow-tow to the libs.
Do you remember the President's last open press conference, where the questions weren't already scripted ? ..- Yeah , me neither !
Are you getting all the administrations Buzzafeed and Utube news releases which are all carefully scripted and edited ?
"The most Transparent Administration Ever " ended with the acknowledgement that ".. I can be very flexible" ... because a Narcssist never can be fleible.
It's all a matter of "CONTROL"!... including the news and reporters .
That is why the FCC wants to take over the internet and news content and conversation on the AM talk radio circuit.
These are the only free information outlets left vailable to Conservative values.

I’m trying to point out that you, amongst others, are simply yelling at people who do not see a civil solution, rather than trying to convince them there is one.

Your sense of moral superiority (as portrayed in your words - I will not claim to know you as a person) undermines your proclaimed goal of nurturing belief in a civil solution.

“Start paying attention folks!”

You can bet they won’t and you can bet they’ll vote for lying scu*bags and accuse everyone else of being lying scu*bags.

(The adolescent psychotics in the population are becoming the proletarian dictators.)

IMHO

Without realizing it you are part of the problem. I have no sense of moral superiority. The voices blathering negativity are not interested in being cajoled into a reasonable position. They are simply stuck on stupid. If this seems unnecessarily huffy it probably is. “The sky is falling” is not a position. It is a surrender. Civil or not, my concern is for solutions, not surrender.

Without realizing it you are part of the problem.

By stating that yelling (being negative) at people for being negative without offering alternatives is counterproductive, I become part of the problem.

You have interesting conclusions, FRiend.

Yes. All the liberalness is due to conservatives. Who are these ‘conservatives’ again? Karl Rove, Dicky Morris and their ilk? Those conservatives?

Exactly, Old Sarge. You and Crazieman are about the only two people on this thread who actually understood the article, it seems.

You are using the precise argument of the left. You blame those who rail against wrongdoers. This is the excuse given by the rioters. They are thugs but want to be called victims of the white man’s oppression.

Louis, you and I both read the Sultan’s articles. One thing I notice is, there is a difference between the naysaying you mention, and the realistic assessment of the situation - which the Green Machine trained me to do.

And the realistic assessment is, we are quite past the event horizon as far as civil redress in this country is concerned; we are rapidly approaching conflict resolutino “by other means”, as it were.

While I would LOVE to see civil redress occur, I hold out very little hope, given the near-total control of the process by the opposition.
