No.

The 'warped' tracks in the photo you refer to are actually yard tracks - jointed rail on older ballast that receives minimal maintenance. The locomotive left the main which is off to the right of the frame, traveled under a pedestrian walkway-bridge, and ended up in the rail yard.

They just reported on CBS Evening News that there is some evidence that the derailed train may have also been hit by an object, and there is damage to the windshield consistent with that.

I heard that. But the fact is, the train was on a track. The driver didn’t steer it off the track even if it was hit with something in the windshield. There is evidence that the driver actually sped up going into the curve, even though he was supposed to slow down to 50. I stand by my supposition.
