KWQC anchor David Nelson fell for a fake story that first appeared on the website National Report saying presidential candidate Ted Cruz thought the office of Veterans Affairs and the Pentagon should be like the Girl Scouts and sell cookies for funding.
He deleted the tweet, but not before Amanda Carpenter, communications director for Cruz saw it and called him out.

Well, DEFINITELY NOT the VA, but the EPA, IRS, NASA (with their climate change agenda), HHS, NSA...maybe its not such a bad idea for them.

I expect to see more idiocy along these lines as the campaign picks up. Cruz takes it all in stride and keeps on Cruzin.

This story has also appeared on a site — usatoday.com.co — and people think this is the website for the USAToday newspaper. I went round and round with a liberal yesterday trying to explain that usatoday.com.co is a phony news site and NOT the paper. She still doesn't believe me.

They only know the Sarah Palin attack and misrepresent mode so they’re trying it out on Cruz. Subhuman filth that they are. They haven’t a chance in open debate so they have to slime.

There are freepers that think because they read it on the internet and it was linked with Google or FR, that it's a legit site.
Not the brightest bulbs on the string.
