The article quoted is an example of liberal group-think. It states that highly concentrated black urban areas are terrible places. True enough, but then it assumes that if you give the denizens of these places more tax-funded money and “choices” to live in better areas, that you fix the problem. As Section 8 experience shows, that’s not what happens—you infect self-supporting neighborhoods with inner-city pathologies.
In other words, you spread the problems.
You can't give many of these "lost boys" their high school learning opportunity back, nor their family-taught morality back. You have to write them off and start over with the next generation.

To REALLY HELP blacks move them into WHITE LIBERAL ELITE neighborhoods where 'elite white' will rub off. If 'working class' white will help some - - then 'liberal elite white' will help MORE.
White neighborhoods with homes in the $600,000 to 3 million range will do nicely. Buy the mansions next door to the mayor - and HIS friends - and the editor of the Baltimore Sun - and break those mansions up into apartments for inner city blacks.
Every 5th mansion should do the trick.
Let 'rich liberal white' rub off... and help the downtrodden. These compassionate liberal elites can put their money where their mouth is... show us how our 'betters' can socialize black inner city 'victims of society'. Show us the way - don't just tell us....
Working people will be thrilled to have our taxes raised for this project. We want to see liberal elites have some of the joy they've so often given us... We want to 'give back' to our liberal elite betters.
Bill Clinton's neighborhood could do some good - same with the people who live in the mansions around Michael Moore and all those 'oh so compassionate ones' in Hollywood. Every third mansion - broken up into classy small apartments for the black victims of this mean old country. Let that 'elite white' rub off guys.

(And yes, there are solutions that can help people but moving blacks next to elite whites in NOT one of them... it's insulting to blacks and it's silly... white doesn't 'rub' off. Same applies to working class whites... that doesn't rub off either. Blacks need help reestablishing the culture they had before liberal elite 'great society' ideas and urban renewal destroyed the blackfamily and community. Then they can create nighborhoods worth living in....)
