Warren, De Blasio pitch agenda to tackle income inequality

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz offered proposals to address income inequality, an issue that’s already a major one for the upcoming election.

Warren called for an end to the so- called trickle down economic theories that seek fewer taxes and restrictions on wealthy individuals and institutions. “These advocates push for deregulation that hobbles the cops on Wall Street,” she said.

“We have to work so that the balance is not tilted against workers and toward multinational corporations,” Warren said.

Warren has declined entreaties from supporters who want her to run for president.

De Blasio — who like Warren, has yet to back Hillary Clinton — argued that while the federal government has resisted reforms that would decrease inequality between the rich and poor, local governments have moved ahead and are taking action.

“City councils across the country are leading the way,” he said.

“These advocates push for deregulation that hobbles the cops on Wall Street,” she said.

"We only want regulations that hobble the cops in Baltimore."

Let’s see...

what happens when you guarantee someone who doesn’t try and work hard
the same income that someone who does try and work hard?

Hmmm... It’s just impossible to see what would happen.

““We have to work so that the balance is not tilted against workers and toward multinational corporations,” Warren said.”

How? Is anyone ever going to ask a lefty the big question? “Tell me Ms. Warren. HOW do you plan on doing this and HOW will it benefit the middle class and create jobs?”

If you don’t like the pay, don’t take the job. Or start your own business. Or renegotiate.

I can go for one new tax. let’s place a sin tax on Hollywood. They are disgustingly rich making ridiculous amounts per movie. Tax ‘em 90% just to experiment with how well that goes over. Fat starlet cats shouldn’t make so much, especially when others around them make minimum wage. And how about those movie house ticket takers. They should get $25 an hour tax free.

Ok one more tax: Let’s tax Politicians at 90% and their lowest paid staff gets their salary doubled and tax-free. By “staff” I mean the office cleaners, coffee makers, etc. Those highly skilled types.

“An end to ... trickle-down economic theories.” You don’t say. How would Lizzie accomplish that?

Would she require a federal government permit before one could publish one’s theory?

Or would it be illegal even to THINK about a theory Fauxahontas didn’t like?

Interesting since New York city has the largest income disparity in the U.S. if not the world. Liberal policies have made it worse.

There is a 99.99% chance that both DeBlasio's and Warren's names are included on the membership rolls of the Communist Party of the United States of America (CPUSA).

Not likely, although DeBlasio is of course one. The most dangerous and influential commies fly under the radar pretending to be something other than what they are.

They refer to it as Communist Party USA, btw. Headquarters are still on 23rd St, around 8th Ave I believe.
