That happened to me with Bing. Somehow they became my search engine even if I searching on Google. I had to go into preferences and change in “General” back to Google and then remove Bing in “Extensions”.

I made sure it was off my tablet, but I use it on my laptop.

It is not as good as Google....by a long shot. I use it because they give me points that I redeem for stuff, like the old cigarette stamps.

If you installed anything, there was probably a small checkbox on the “OK To Install” screen, to change your search engine to Bing, already checked. You had to uncheck it, but didn’t know it was even there. Happens all the time with Windows stuff; I’d imagine Apple’s “partners” do it too.
