Gay “marriage” is entirely compatible with what Rush believes about marriage.

I don't think so. Though Rush has had divorces; he knows well enough that divorce is not good. Why would he divorce if he knows it's not good? Many are forced into things they know are bad to do, and would like to see those things changed. There are things that government mandates, mandates that people have to obey though they know are wrong.

I agree. When I listen to Rush I’m not tuning in for marriage counseling.

Rush thinks childbearing is optional in marriage. He is perfectly fine with the notion of entering into marriage with the intention of never having a child. The main thing is mutual attraction and sexual satisfaction. Those are the basis of the argument for gay marriage.

Rush’s disordered view of marriage is well within the American mainstream, which makes it inevitable that this country will not — cannot — see anything wrong with same sex marriage.
