You really need to wait until the evidence of this entire ordeal is made known....because though you say “Forget the specifics”....specifics are what is needed for the story to be completed and understood.
Currently the situation remains “fluid”.
There are the issues of a criminal investigation.
There are the issues of CPS involvement for some time.
These are ‘separate’ issues but ‘overlap’.
Principle is what matters.
Principle is what matters. Without it there is lawlessness, capriciousness, and tyranny. Before violating someone’s rights convict them of a crime. Before depriving children of their right to their parents show that there is some immediate danger of grave harm from which they must be protected.
As to your remarks about interfering with an investigation, that’s nonsense. We’re talking about minor children, not some other adult. If one adult obstructs some other adult from their agreeing to speak with police that would be interfering with an investigation.
There actually IS a well established federal law called the ASFA = Adoptions and Safe Families Act which basically gives social services the right to take away Mr. Naugler’s future children immediately and without any other cause because he has had custody of a child terminated in the past. I have no idea if this is what state agents are operating under but if so the kids could be put up for adoption before anyone is charged with a crime, nevermind convicted.
So just how do you convict someone of a crime in the meat of the investigation such as this?
I just think you’re reaching way to far in attempting to state there needs to be a conviction, and oblivious for whatever reason to the fact she was interfering in an investigation. She WAS arrested....You want to dismiss that fact...as also that of other significant factors to this case.
So we will leave it now that we simply disagree .
Thank you for the conversation.

UPDATE:
The off-the-grid family in the midst of a custody battle has been reunited with some of their children, for now.
The Naugler’s custody battle is still not over, but the children who are minors have been allowed to stay with their parents, according to their attorney Rick Hardin.
Hardin told WAVE 3 News Monday the case was still pending. He made it clear the cabinet still had custody of the children, even though they were in the Naugler’s possession.
Joe and Nicole Naugler are scheduled to appear back in court on July, 27.
