HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A law enforcement official says four people have been arrested and two of them have been charged with capital murder in the fatal shootings of two Mississippi police officers during a weekend traffic stop in Hattiesburg.
Warren Strain, a spokesman for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, tells The Associated Press that 29-year-old Marvin Banks and 22-year-old Joanie Calloway have each been charged with two counts of capital murder, and Banks' 26-year-old brother, Curtis Banks, has been charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of capital murder. An additional arrest was made Sunday. 28-year-old Cornelius Clark was charged with obstruction of justice. Authorities did not release any details on the charge.
Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict confirms to our CBS-affilliate WHLT the fallen officers are Benjamin J. Deen, 34 and Liquori Tate, 25. Both Tate and Deen were taken from the scene of the shooting to Forrest General Hospital where they died....

Story on local TV tells of a gathering In DC this week to honor policemen killed in the line of duty over the last year, including at least three in New York City and one in Philly just last week for a total of 273 nationwide - and how many blacks were killed by police in the same time period? - I’m waiting on pins and needles for a statement from the White House about how this national tragedy must be addressed.....

Subway worker cheered the deaths in a tweet and apparently fired though one tweet claims her cellphone was stolen
