Am I naive? Of course it's not a grand treatise. Nobody believes that. But some people want to pretend that the 60s revolution did not exist. Or that rock and roll had no part in it.

BTW, freedom of speech is great. But that freedom doesn't help inform our choices about what to listen to.

If it were not for that freedom you would not have access to the Mahler symphonies, Beatles, and innumerable composers/artists before and after.

Inevitably people will choose the art they like and very, very few ascribe any meaning to any of it.

Personally I like the three "B"s the best

Beethoven, Brahms and Black Sabbath.

I like a lot of drama in my music, with minor keys.
