There is no evidence that proves that...
I think that is a bit of a stretch.
I have to get back to work for the Murrican people.
What difference does it make at this point?
I never stated on the record that...
Sorry to disappoint, but my pragmatic self, seasoned by decades of real life, concludes that our laws are no more absolutes than the minds of those administering and interpreting them.
Two Presidents, advised by their top ranking constitutional lawyers, concluded that CinC does have not only a right, but an obligation to protect us as citizens.
I agree with the bulk data collection, just as I agree that we did the correct, wise thing to isolate some Japanese, Italian and German residents during WWII.
One man’s “civil right” to not be surveiled conflicts with another man’s “civil right” to “life,” and the President is charged with making tough decisions about the priorities for each on given days, under different circumstances, and resolve the conflict.
I dont understand how you cannot grasp this?
The entire DC beltway/metro area, also VA and MD around DC, are just CRAWLING with those guys. The can sometimes be spotted marking time at staging areas near big public events, “just in case.” Sometimes, one thinks, “good planning, guys.” If some jihad-commando goon squad went rampage with heavy weapons, it would be good to have a response nearby. They can put a lot of nimble response on the street, fast. They can also be used to overturn or protect a tyrant. Those nimble responders would be key players in any American coup d’etat, on either side.
I understand that prospective. However, history teaches us that this is a bad road to go down. It NEVER ENDS well. We will repeat it once again. That’s why checks and balances.
By nature all people are naturally flawed. What is government made up of? It is made up of people that are naturally flawed.... Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That’s why we have checks and balances.
Moreover, you are making the assumption that EVERY CinC will have best intentions for our Republic.... Do you really believe that? This is when lie and deceive, commit multiple felonies everyday and are allowed to get away with it? Do you think that is good for a country and future generations?
For instance, if you owned a business and you caught an employee lying. You would watch what that employee said after that..... Now, if you caught them lying again...., then you would probably fire them. Why because you could not trust them. Now you have to ask yourself. How come we do not hold our politicians to the same standards? Why is their no accountability?
When ordinary citizens not in office see this, then they think well if they are not following the law why should I???? The fish rots from the head down. So it initially begins at the highest levels and slowly trickles down until you become a country in Chaos like Mexico or Venezuela.
Holding no on in office accountable also attracts Sociopaths and Psychopaths into office. This is because they think wow look what they can get away with. Thus you are eventually run by criminals. The government becomes no different than the mafia.
Another example is that congress says they can insider trade, and the federal courts cannot investigate them.
However, if an ordinary citizen tries to do that then they will go to prison.
So there is two standards. One for the government and another for the Slaves because that is what they have become. The Slaves have no power over their Masters which is the government.
Again that type of corruption will lead to the downfall of our Republic. It’s why we need to hold politicians that commit felonies accountable. The Founders understood this. They never said this right is true unless.... It’s an absolute right from our creator.
Yes, I had a clue.
No, I had not been contacted by mail, phone or anything.
I did owe money to the local government, and would have gladly paid it. It was a very small amount, $300 something.
In fact, I already had paid some of it, but then went through a chaotic period living at the mission a bit, and living with family until I found a job. It slipped my mind during that time while I took whatever job I could find. I didn’t get garnished until I had moved out and gotten my own place.
They garnished me, and would not even release the garnishment if I did pay them a set amount per paycheck or month. There was no summons and complaint, no judges signature, no authority at all besides the “IRS stamp.” That’s all it takes. The IRS has way too much power.
