Securing the “fast track” authority to finalize a new trade deal, covering 40 percent of America’s exports, is a top priority for the Obama White House. The agreement, named the Trans-Pacific Partnership, would set new rules for America’s economic relations with Asia.

Under “fast track” authority, the administration could negotiate the final terms of the deal and the final treaty would only be subject to an up or down vote by Congress. The final provisions agreed to by Obama could not be altered.

What could possibly go wrong with that?

Its Obama planned colonization by the third world to destroy this country based on Soros mission to destroy the US !

Not sure about Soros' role, but, yep, Obama is definitely the US's first Third World president. His interest and sympathies are with the Third World and especially with the Muslim nations.

Some probably think he's a big champion of US black citizens, but not necessarily. His real mission is redistribution of US wealth to the Third World and the importation of as many Third World immigrants as possible.

there’s not a rational argument against free trade. what’s a pity is that we feel like we have to have a treaty ensuring it.

This agreement is not about free trade, and all Obama's pompous statements about opening markets for US products and protecting American jobs will prove just as reliable as:

"If you like your policy, you can keep your policy."

Decades ago Soros spoke about his wish to bring down the US as a super power in the world.
Barry and Michelle and Pres VJ are his instruments of his carefully planned destruction. Look it up.

There is MUCH more Congressional opposition than the press would like you to believe.

It is URGENT that you contact your congresscritter an tell them NOT to support Fast Track authority for Obama.

You want Amnesty run by the Obama and the Chamber of Crony capitalism ?..

The bill being debated specifically prohibits the president changing our laws as part of the agreement. That includes immigration laws.

There is a 60-day interval between when the final agreement is made public and when Congress votes on it. If it contains any such deal-breakers, it will be rejected. Zero knows that, and it is a strong incentive for him to avoid leftard overreach if he wants a trade agreement in his legacy.

well, I will concede that much. there’s no telling what he will sneak into the thing, or what parts he will choose to ignore or postpone . . . or invent.

that’s the one argument against TPP that I can think of, but it’s not really an argument against free trade. it’s an argument against a clueless whack job as president.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to tell which was which.

Remember after the first week of November 2014, so many were gloating “Elections mean something!” and gleefully believed that the GOP victories would turn this nation around?

Anyone who thought that election would turn things around was looking for a fast fix. Don'e give up - keep fighting for more "victories" until we start getting enough traction to make a substantive difference. Either that, or change parties - the battle will be long and tedious; it took the Left over 60 years of concerted effort to get us where we are (with us on the sidelines watching but never getting motivated enough to mount an effective defense/counterattack) and there is no quick fix. Even seemingly big victories will yield only minimal effect until we accrue enough to start to counter the RINOs whose mission is to foil the Conservatives.
