Going to breakfast with a friend who is a doctor.

He closed his practice and placed the blame squarely on Obamacare.

He voted for the guy and regrets that decision because now he has a government job, as a doctor, spending half his time doing paperwork.

My doctor has told me that she is considering retiring because:

1. The amount of record keeping has gone up dramatically with Obamacare and so has the cost in expenses and labor to keep up with it.
2. The fact that the government wants her to turn over everyone’s medical information - whether you are on Medicare or not - to them is something she does not feel right about doing.
3. More and more people are on Medicare while the amount it pays is not keeping up with expenses.

She has mentioned those issues to me, but I am sure there are other problems as well. I wonder about what the Obamacare insurance actually pays to doctors as opposed to what private insurance used to pay.
