Maryland “Freak State” PING!
That’s good news. I guess it’s something that he can do without the legislature’s approval.
Maryland is rolling back tolls? Next you’ll tell me they elected a Republican for Governor.
Children will STARVE.

Every time I go through the toll booth at the Bay Bridge I always ask the toll taker;
“Hasn’t this bridge been paid for already?”
Thanks Tol (we’re on first name basis). A few serious comments:
1) Cutting back (or better yet, eliminating) tolls is both CHEAP and VERY EFFECTIVE as a populist policy. Most people drive and they are annoyed, big-time, at getting sniped at by tolls.
2) Hogan probably doesn’t realize it, but he’s following my tag-line advice. The vast majority of toll payers are white and they will remember this, even if it only saves them a relatively small amount of money. This is EXACTLY the kind of move he needs to make to get himself re-elected - it is a GREAT MOVE, especially when compared to raising tolls to “balance the budget”...which often translates into robbing drivers to send more money to the Baltimore terrorists.
3) When he gets closer to election day, he might consider simply lifting ALL TOLLS, as there comes a point where the cost of collecting the tolls can nearly equal the money that is raised. As he lowers tolls, he will get closer to this point.
IMPRESSIVE GUY - he seems to actually understand the “little guy”. He may move up the chain very soon.
I still live in the only county where I have to pay to go home.

It actually also happened in Maryland (the Fee State) way back in the 1960s. The stretch of I-95 north of Baltimore up into Harford County (JFK Memorial Hwy) used to be a toll road. That was eliminated, way back when.. perhaps the last time tolls were reduced in MD.
The Sunshine Bridge in Louisiana (Named for Governor Jimmy Davis of “You Are My Sunshine” Fame) was once a toll bridge. I can remember my father paying the toll. That toll was removed when the bridge was paid for.

Exactly! Anything he tries to so that must be approved by the Rat-led legislature will be sabotaged.
He’s a RINO, but perhaps he will help this state’s economy.
They did that in Kentucky with the Mountain Parkway, the tolls were lifted in 1986. Other parkways had their tolls lifted when they were paid for. I think there are only one or two left that still have tolls.
