I love the judge!
Don’t forget the TSA. Their dehumanizing treatment of passengers certainly crosses the line of “being safe in your person”.
This is a worthy goal, but too narrow. I would prefer to “Restore the Bill of Rights”. The First Amendment should be as close to an absolute as possible, with no efforts to compromise between comfort or convenience and our individual, God-given rights to freedom of speech and the free exercise of religion. The Second Amendment has the most strongly-worded protection in the Constitution “shall not be infringed”. All gun laws should be repealed. The rest of the Bill of Rights needs similar restoration, right down to the 9th and 10th Amendments. FedGov is far too big, and restoring the 9th and 10th would help to restore freedom.
If the ill-conceived 17th Amendment had not been ratified then I wouldn’t be surprised if state sovereignty-respecting senators would have killed the Patriot Act bill.
The 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and a bunch of corrupt senators along with it.
