Worst part: all that may take place, but it could happen in 30-50 years when conservatives and Christians are all but gone, and only a few remain to fight it.

As it stands now, congress hasn’t made any law concerning same sex marriage. The reason these “BALL LESS” politicians haven’t done so, is because they consider this a “HOT POTATO”, that’s why they are passing the “BUCK” to SCOTUS. So, which ever way SCOTUS decides, they can say “I DIDN’T DO THAT”.

I agree, and yet both options remain a crapshoot at best.

I was thinking the same thing. The powers of darkness are moving very fast right now, they seem to think it is time to step on the gas and run over anyone in their path. My fellow Americans maybe 50% of them are fine with H. Clinton? They will vote for her? I am astounded and pissed beyond belief as to how corrupt and dumb that half is. It is not BO, congress, the judicial, etc. its the citizens, may God help us.

Of course. So are Pastors, Priests and Rabbis who preach that homosexuality is sinful. This is the answer to the libertarian off asked question “How does homosexual marriage affect you at all?”. Well now you know.

“That the power to tax involves the power to destroy.. (is) not to be denied.” Chief Justice John Marshall, 1819.

Simply put, if empowered to do so, the government can tax churches out of existence. Hence the tax exemption for religious organizations. It is, at this point, mostly a matter of time when the government will attempt to do so, not a matter of ‘if’.

Gordon College, and they are paying the price.

If you look at a typical church’s finances, you will see that tax treatment of donations makes a huge difference.

Most churches usually run a deficit all year until the last couple of weeks of December, when a large amount of income comes in.

Why? Well, some of it is the Christmas services, but most of it is end of the year tax donations. Lots of folks (myself included) don’t know if they are going to make any money for the year until right near the end, and so that’s why the bulk of charitable contributions are made at the end of December.

Most nonprofits have this same income pattern.

That’s why I believe that the tax exemption for churches actually comes from the First Amendment religious freedom clauses, not the Tax Code. (And there is historical basis for that, since the concept that churches were tax exempt predates the Internal Revenue Code.)

That can easily be delayed. If one wishes to be legally wed, take the license from a legal official (judge or other appointee) and don’t have any marriage licenses handed out at the church, just a marriage ceremony with no marriage license handed out, but a blessing to what is recognized. As for force, they can just let society as a whole undercut the churches by working to convince the youth that the church is against nature by not treating homosexuality as identical to heterosexuality is outdated, evil, and disgusting. Then seduce the people, they can convince people to quit going to church, and possibly even quit believing in God.

Just who are we trying to placate? Why is it, that every time these people holler “SHIT” why do we have to squat and ask them “WHAT COLOR, AND HOW MANY POUNDS”. They want to get married? Fine, They want me to clap my hands with joy? No thank you. There enough places where they can get married, they surely don’t need my blessings. Their biggest complaint is that in Christian schools, the children are taught that marriage is only between man or woman. THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE AGAINST. Too bad.

Then yes, too bad, and you don’t have to go to said school if you so vehemently disagree what is being taught there, whether in class, or even if there are church services held on Sundays that teach the same.

That was what it was, until these LGBT crowd got in the act. In the old days you can go to the school you wanted to, do business or not with any one. But that’s the case today. Today, if a school teaches one man one woman = a marriage, you have a court case. If you choose not to do business with certain people, you have a court case. And there are enough liberal, socialist or communist judges that are willing to punish you.Our freedoms are being thrown out of the window, legally, of course.

Until the government got into the act of supporting them, without the support of some pretty crooked courts and politicians, you wouldn’t be seeing what you are now. the people in high government are the most to blame because they gave the homosexuals approval and power.
