Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake asked the Justice Department on Wednesday to conduct a full-scale civil rights investigation into the pattern and practices of the Baltimore Police Department — a probe that would examine excessive force, discriminatory harassment, false arrests, and unlawful stops, searches or arrests.
"We all know that Baltimore continues to have a fractured relationship between the police and the community," Rawlings-Blake said. "I'm willing to do what it takes to reform my department."
The Justice Department already is conducting a "collaborative review" with Baltimore police, but its recommendations will not carry the weight of law. Such reviews differ from full-scale civil rights investigations because they are launched by agreement with local officials and are not enforced by court order.

And the mayor is black, and the police chief is black, and they’re all demonicrats ... and Valerie Jarret, who isn’t even human, is actually running the show.
Sounds rather good to me.
If she’s not going to at least make a pretense of standing behind her officers, even addressing the possibility of a few rotten apples, then she doesn’t deserve their support either.
Problem is, you get into a mortgage and you can’t just decide to drop everything and run.

Especially since Baltimore received 1.8 billion dollars in the Obama stimulus giveaway. I’m sure most of it ended up in the pockets of politicians and community organizers. Taxpayers are being fleeced to support anti-American thugs who want to destroy this country. Unbelievable.
A lot of people I have personally spoken with told me if they lived in Baltimore that they would leave Baltimore A.S.A.P. .
They also told me if they had a business they would not locate in Baltimore.
Of course the narrative meme would be to all blame whitey for white flight and white privilege.

The Police Department should ask for investigations of the Mayor, of the City Council, of the School Board.
Truly, the inmates are running the asylum.
I can identify with the mindset there. Here in the Los Angeles area we have seen a lot of this.
Some of the most vile council members known to man serve.
They’re from the Black or Hispanic areas, so there’s not much you can do to change it.
You cringe when you see one of them in front of a microphone.
The city is 62% black and the PD is 48% black. (Both numbers approximate). The recent history of BPD includes some fairly controversial methods over the past 15-20 years attempting to reign in the rampant drug crime. Those tactics were ended several years ago, but the reputation and resentment continue.
The whole state of Maryland sucks. The whole state just creeps me out.
When I think of Maryland, big fat white Pilgrims with blunderbuss comes to mind and I feel like I’m in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. It’s Frankenstate.
Sounds to me like someone should be investigating the mayor’s office.
I’m Mayor, but I can’t run my own city. What a joke. I’m a failure, please help me.
