Muslims in Texas Walk a Fine Line After Garland Shooting

GARLAND, Tex. — When Muslim leaders in the Dallas area learned in February that a provocative New York blogger named Pamela Geller had rented space for an exhibition of cartoons and caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad featuring speakers known for vitriol against Islam, they decided to ignore her.

They were well acquainted with Ms. Geller’s methods and figured that there was no point protesting and giving her free publicity.

“We don’t want to be falling for her tactics,” Alia Salem, the executive director of the Dallas and Fort Worth chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said to her colleagues. “She’s trying to bait the Muslim community.”

She was also reminding us that in a democracy, such as ours, everyone has the right to speak yet no one has a right not to be offended and, further, feeling the right not to be offended, also does not have the right to silencing the offenders right to speak. It's this bit of complexity that Muslims cannot or will not understand since Islam is linear, ‘’submit or die''. Islam doesn't do ''complexity''.It's also lost on the Left which explains why the two, Islam and the Left are fellow travelers.

Yes, ban Islam in civilized countries, deport Muslims, bring US troops home and put on our borders, institute a pet-the-pig requirement to enter the country or board a plane.

Let the Muslims fight each other in their own countries until none are left.
