Coming from a military/ASA/NSA family, I want to trust the military and intel services to do right by US citizens. But the military of an untrustworthy government is untrustworthy.
And we in America now have one party rule. Boehner, McConnell, Reid, Pelosi, Obama, Jarrett, Lynch, SCOTUS - they're all the same.

While I agree with your statement I have to say that (as a recent retiree from the military) there are many upper ranking officers and NCO’s who will not follow illegal orders. I’ve had that conversation with quite a few and the majority have said they would refuse to obey orders that are contrary to the oath.
