Thank you for the great explanation. There is one part that needs further information, though.

"Law enforcement and military have distinctly different jobs and they cannot be mixed without horrific consequences."

They couldn't be the same, because that would be impossible. The differences between real soldier (not REMF) training and police training are vast. Many police--like many other civilians--are only trying to emulate soldiers by appearances. One difference in appearances continues to stand out, though.

Look at the obvious difference in the shapes of their bodies. Which ones have bodies in the shape of a zero? Which ones have upper bodies more in the shape of a V?

"The definition of police state is a state where the police and military have no distinction."

Not quite.

From WordNet (r) 3.0 (2006) :

police state
n 1: a country that maintains repressive control over the people by means of police (especially secret police)

Same here:

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/police%20state

Any combat soldiers could run around my rather large yard many times. Most civilian police individuals couldn't do it once. The two train and work very differently in many ways.

Police have their job. Soldiers have theirs. Police have not even begun to train as soldiers.

A police state, though? That depends on what the new, enormous lobby organizations for state and local governments get away with (desires for Article V Conventions, etc.). It also depends on how many Americans are duped by the conspiracy mongers into going off half-cocked and firing across their suburbs (insurrection and the like).

It also depends on how many idiots continue issuing crazy political speech and driving conservatives away from elections. Most Americans reject crazy talk in political speech and aren't as stupid as the socialist political/regulator class believes them to be. Republicans should at least be willing to give up some government employee factions as favored constituencies.

It even depends on whether or not the most influential con$tituent$ change their minds about using police work to stop foreign enemy guerrillas instead of sending soldiers. It's war. We should send military forces. The current practice of trying to fight the "War on Terror" on our own soil with a civilian police surveillance state is foolish.

Don't fear our own soldiers, sailors, Marines or airmen. Fear the attempt by federal-pork-supported state and local socialists to violate your civil (constitutional) rights. And remember that those socialists are disseminating the crazy talk and trying to foment incidents to pass more laws and further violate your rights.

I didn’t really but your posts until that paragraph. I hope people just watch what is going on cautiously and no incidents occur.

But I wouldn’t go so far as to say never fear our military. I wouldn’t now - but look at who the commander-in-chief is. I would be cautious who I trust, uniform or not. (And I have the utmost respect for our military heros.) But part of the Cloward_Pivan plan is to use our military against us. And at the rate the plan is being implemented, I’d be wary. Cautious, but wary.
