Professor fails student for refusing to condemn her Christian faith

The title is misleading. When I first heard this I thought that the professor wanted the student to condemn the teachers faith.

One of my son’s majors is Theology, and they are putting him to the test - making him question a lot of his beliefs. The goal is to make him stronger - but many kids LOSE their faith because of it. (Our pastor, who went through it, says our son will be fine. I hope!)

The assignments she was supposed to write would be interesting papers perhaps for graduate students in Theology - to come up with possible arguments that would help them be able to counter them.

But that isn’t the case here - the professor is just being a jerk. If it was me I wouldn’t be too upset. “Screw you buddy - I’ve failed better and more important classes than this!” (True!!)

Hi Jan, I guess the title was written by a Polk State grad.

I would not take a degree from Polk State at face value. The school is one of a few in the Florida College system that substitutes for high school, a post graduate education for those who did not pay attention in K through 12. Most students are unable to put their thoughts on paper. For the school to back up the “Prof” is troubling.
