Open letter to conservative talk show hosts
I’m disappointed with conservative talk radio. I really can’t understand why our media giants, such as Rush Limbaugh , Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin, are not actively pushing for Ted Cruz….
Conservative pundits have attributed the 2012 debacle, to the inability for conservatives to unite behind one strong conservative. YET WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN!?!
While we’re window shopping, the other team lost no time with scorn, and vilification; ignoring and misrepresenting anything Cruz.
Coalescing behind one guy, won’t happen by itself. Nor will the liberal leaning media help us in this regard. Conservative talk show hosts-the “editorial board writers for working people”, MUST LEAD THE WAY.
So, why Cruz? Answer: Those that go to Washington can’t be trusted, except Cruz.
It’s true, Marco Rubio might have a slight edge in speeches, and Scott Walker can point to more impressive successes. Still we MUST unite behind Ted Cruz….
Many feel that, on balance, Cruz’s skill-set outweighs his opponents, but that can be debated. What’s not debatable is that every single candidate, (except Cruz) that has already arrived in DC, has changed their tunes. The other opponents have simply not yet come to Washington.
The atmosphere in our nation’s capital, is antithetical to conservative values. It’s so toxic, even lifelong conservatives feel compelled to accommodate the special interests and big donors. All, at the expense of the voters that sent them there in the first place. Except Cruz.
Just last week, Jodi Ernst and Perdue, voted against conservative values. Why should anyone assume that a Scott Walker won’t drink the same kool-aid Rubio has been sipping the past couple of years.
If anyone thinks moving away from Cruz will slow media’s criticisms, think again. They’ll vilify anyone. They even turned harmless, squishy, Romney into the devil incarnate.
No, Ted Cruz is not 100% perfect. Nobody is. All criticisms are, however, anecdotal at best.
Ted must be mentioned every single day, and constantly contrasted to his counterparts in the Republican party.
If a drum-roll is keeping Hillary alive, imagine what constant positive focus will do to one of our best.

It is too early to united behind anyone. Let the public hear from the candidates with trying to silence some of them. A republic works only if there is respect for the process.
Amen and Amen!
SEE MY TAGLINE.

Heretic! Infidel! Name me one thing Ted ever said or did that was wrong! I dare you.
But seriously folks... Ted is my choice. I support him. But he still has to run the gauntlet of other GOP challengers and then face Hitlery.
And when he has overcome those obstacles - he will be an even better candidate, then president.
Hannity, at least, will ultimately support Jeb Bush because Bsh is Fox’s man. Medved and Bennett will support Jeb Bush.
Savage will come down for Christie or another gope if Christie can’t get it in gear. Rush will end up supporting the nominee, whoever he might be. Schnitt will support the gope. Gallagher, ditto. Only Levin seems to be totally clear headed about these things.
Mara Liasson, on of Bret Baier’s moderates he uses to counter-balance his sort of conservatives, said it succinctly yesterday regarding the entry of Huckabee and Carson into the race. She said that they’ll each get their 1%, knock each other out, and leave the field to Jeb Bush...the way they always do. (A paraphrase)
She’s right.
Integrity is for the conservative candidates to look at the field after Iowa or New Hampshire, throw in with the front-running conservative, and end their campaigns.
It isn’t the talk show hosts who are the issue. It’s the so-called conservative candidates.
The debates will tell the story. We’ve got a long way to go yet. I believe once Ted Cruz begins getting his message out, it will be difficult for conservatives across the nation to look the other way.
We have drifted so far to the left, so far from traditional conservative values, drifted so far from our constitutional founding principals...it will take a staunch conservative such as Cruz to just get this country back to center.
Think about it. Bush, Clinton x 2, Bush x 2, Obozo x 2.
At the end of Obozo’s time in office, it will have been close to 30 years since we’ve had a true conservative in office.
Ted Cruz is the Wall-To-Wall Conservative we have been asking for.
Conservatives need to unite behind a single candidate. Ted is that man.
Let the RINO / GOPe / WSJ / Liberal wing of the Republican party eat their own.
We must unite. Now is the time. Ted Cruz is the man.
It will be interesting how he balances that support.
Yep, Cruz or Lose!!!
Cruz, Walker, Rubio...only. Bush needs to be flushed along with Christie and Carson. The huckster is a pure joke and Rand Paul is his daddy’s little boy and shouldnt even be in the Senate!
The process is corrupt and loaded against Conservatives, in case you have not noticed by now.
Yeah, I heard Savage call Cruz a loser last week. Savage is the real loser.
He did? What was it in reference to?
It's not, because Cruz is the ONLY Conservative running. The rest of them will only push the GOP further to the left. Cruz or lose! This is a message the GOP needs to hear, loud and clear. Work to get Cruz in the generals, or lose in 2016.
No, we don’t. If conservatives unite behind Cruz, it is license for the rest of the field to move further and further to the left. The ‘splitting our block’ worry is the typical meme; vagarious debate by the candidates who will have to stay to the right in their campaigns will make for a stronger candidate.
We played this game before in 2012. ‘All conservatives unite behind (flavor of the day)! Otherwise Romney will win the nomination!’ And what happened? As soon as we lined up behind a candidate, some minor thing would pop up and we’d go fleeing away from the ‘one true choice’ and Romney was able to roll right on through, veering even more to the left.
Walker or Cruz, those are my choices of the moment, and only Cruz is actually announced. But I’m all for someone backing anyone else and keeping the conservative focus oriented across the board. Let’s make Republicans campaign as Republicans and keep conservative viewpoints on the table.
calling for us to unite behind one guy...IS part of that process you have so much faith in. Just sayin......
But seriously, do we need to know any more about Rand, Jeb, Marco? Really?
no that’s not at all what happened in 2012.
