They would find out different if Muslims ever took over the U.S. Then, just before the blade sliced into their throats, they would find out free speech isn't very popular with the Islamists. And most of the "moderate" Muslims would applaud their demises.

Perhaps the Left identifies with the Totalitarian Mindset of these extreme Islamic terrorists. It has become ingrained into the mindset of the Left to use their freedom of speech to indoctrinate their fellow citizens to what they want them to believe and limit the freedom of speech that says otherwise. Perhaps the Left has a secret desire to rid the Earth of Jews and Christians, like their brethren throughout man's sordid history of murder. It is religions like Christianity, the last bastion against government control of the individual. The freedoms enjoyed by generations of Americans have degenerated into a tyranny that scorns America’s legacy of freedom to pave the way for the political oppression of the individual. We are becoming an Oligarchy where a small group controls America. This collective social model that opposes our Constitutional heritage is the way of the Marxist.

I wonder if those who try to blame the organizers of the “First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest,” for the Muslim terrorist attack would have justified if some patriotic American had irrupted in Muslim rally on January 2015 and made a massacre of Islamic terrorists. After all, Americans are profoundly offended by the abuse of our freedoms by those who made the Muslim rally in support of the savages that decapitate, crucify and burned Christians alive, a real grievance more justified than the alleged offense provoked among the Islamic fanatics by the Mohamed cartoons.
