After more than 40 years of this, how can people keep repeating that saying? They have never kept the same standard, ever. Females in the military are, and always have had, a different standard.
If they didn't have a female standard, then almost no females would be in the military.
A different standard for females is completely sensible if there are career fields requiring the higher standard from which they are excluded.
