I was under the impression that injured police officer was from Garland, but Dallas PD sure is not ruled out due to the fact he may have been working off duty as security for the event.The story I have is the injured good guy, Bruce Joiner, was a Garland ISD security guard (unarmed) and the police officer that took down both attackers was a tenured traffic cop with Garland PD. In speculating on the pistol used, I'm making the assumption that Garland and Dallas PD coordinate their choice of duty sidearm issued to officers, but that could be wrong.
