MSNBC ridicules Ted Cruz, but they will never say one word about this whackjob,
who incidentally is the democrats' strategic deep thinker and Hillary's blunt roller.

Obama aide John Podesta says ‘biggest failure’ was not securing the disclosure of UFO files

I will break it to you as gently as I can, Mr. Podesta.

Yeah, there was a Sherrif who shot a soldier because he thought he was under attack, and the soldiers in the vehicle thought he was part of the exercise.

Army Regrets 'Tragic' Shooting in North Carolina

The problem with this exercise and others like it is that it demonstrates a growing erosion of Posse Comitatus within the military. Coupled with all the "nationalize this and nationalize that" and "civilian army" talk from the Obama regime, then yeah, people absolutely do have a reason to be concerned about the military's behavior and actions inside the country.

It’s not the military that concerns me with exercises being conducted outside the bounds of its own instalations. After all, there have been plenty of these done in the past, both here and overseas (Loisiana Maneuvers, Reforger, etc...). It’s the militarized FLEAs, state and local who “partner” with the military for a piece of the pie and the action that concern me, and the conditioning of the American public that makes the whole process “normal” in the midst of and under the thumb of the Obama regime.

That is the first time I have ever seen a Freeper refer to Alinsky as "Saul."

Does make one suspicious doesn't it?

*sigh*

Looks like MSNBC succeeded in their task.

Printed a story that starts everyone on our side fighting with each other again.

Yep, the militarization of police departments play into this thing too.

Here's something scary for you. I have a good friend who's currently a company-grade officer in the Army (who's leaving at the end of the year out of disgust after 10+ years of service and a tour in Iraq). He told me last week that he actually had to explain to another officer, a West Pointer (!), what Posse Comitatus was.

True.

I wish I had a senator Ted Cruz, instead of two democrat senators that crap all over people like me.

One democrat senator has been indicted.
The other democrat senator went to the senate, and made a speech.
In it, he spoke about how he drove from NJ to Hawaii after getting his drivers license.

I'd place odds that some of the idiots who just voted for him to be re-elected are posting here..

He just lost my vote.

He never had your vote. Go vote for Jeb or Hillary. If you think the government is not out of control, then your a nut. If you think it's nuts for a Senator to ask a question about something for which a lot of his constituents are concerned, then you're an idiot. And if you think that spewing some RINO talking points here makes you look come across as reasonable and Conservative then you are both nuts and an idiot: a nudiot.

That doesn't surprise me.

1. Attending a military academy doesn't mean you are gifted with boundless knowledge and intellect or that you stayed awake in every class.

2. Unless a member of the military is participating in a mission that affects the civil population (civil unrest/ natural disaster/border defense, etc...) they don't get briefed on Posse Comitatus as a constraint to their mission.

It could be that the officer in question just never had those experiences and the first time he heard the term was from your friend.

Yeah, but one would think that Posse Comitatus would be included as part of the curriculum of the service academies, OCS, and ROTC, but it obviously is not, which is frightening.

Also, with all the recent "purges" of old school senior military officers in all branches, a steady flow of career-climbing, PC-infused successors have risen up to impose the Left's idea of military service onto the ranks. It's one of the reasons my buddy is hang it up at the end of the year---he can no longer stand the latest incessant PC indoctrination that is changing the mission from warfighting to liberal social engineering. He's just had enough of it.

It was. I don't know if it still is. As I recall, every soldier in the Army received a legal brief that covers topics like UCMJ, Posse Comitatus, etc.., at least once a year, at a minimum. That doesn't mean everyone understood it or paid attention.

Back in the day, before we had the luxury of the interwebs, you had to search out a specific regulation or a field manual to learn about things like Posse Comitatus on your own. There really is no excuse not to understand that constraint today, given the technology to retrieve the information with a mouse click.

You do remember Obama’s speech about creating “a civilian military force that is just as powerful just as well equipped as our military.” Maybe the people who are concerned are thinking of the President’s own words. I trust our military, but I don’t trust the Commander in Chief.

Besides, it is a Senators job to check out and respond to concerns of the citizens he represents. There was nothing about what Ted Cruz did or said that was not a perfectly reasonable response to the inquiries made to him.

I’m praying with you and I like the directness of your prayers. I pray every day for God to give Ted Cruz favor in the sight of men. I do believe he is called for this time and I pray that our country does not foolishly reject him.

“We are assured it is a military training exercise. I have no reason to doubt those assurances, but I understand the reason for concern and uncertainty, because when the federal government has not demonstrated itself to be trustworthy in this administration, the natural consequence is that many citizens don’t trust what it is saying.”

Yes, this man is obviously insane. < /eye roll>

At least MSNBS was courteous enough to provide a direct quote somewhere in the article.
