Rafael Cruz, Ted Cruzs father sits down with me in an exclusive interview. He tells me the following: My son will not compromise his principles in Washington. Rafael Cruz also talks about how smart Ted was as a child. His favorite word was, why, why, why, why. He was like a sponge. The elder Cruz says, Our conversation around the dinner table centered on politics as to why we had to get rid of this leftist, progressive called Jimmy Carter
Ted got a dose of conservative politics from a biblical worldview on a daily basis for a whole year when he was 9 years old."
Ted was reading John Locke, Adam Smith, the Federalist Papers and Milton Friedman in high school. He was also writing the constitution from memory as part of a group called; The Constitutional Corroborators. He also gave about eighty speeches on free market economics during his time in High School. Just your average high school student. NOT!

As in Ted "The Constitution" Cruz.
Good report
Would that were true. I sure want it to be. But I don’t trust politicians. Particularly out of that sinking Senate.
Well, to be honest there are only about 10 Republicans who are allergic to the truth. The rest are pretty good and deserving of our support. They have one hell of a tough job.
Children are the product of their formative years. Ted was raised an AMERICAN - (the Boy King was raised an American Hater. And it shows)
From the get-go. Ted’s knowledge of the constitution and what our country is (was?) about is solid...He’s not just ‘talking the talk’
In addition - he was a master at debating in college - and he’s argued - and WON - several cases in front of the Supreme Court.
He’ll chew up the composition in the debates - and if against Hitlery - chew her up and spit her out.
i think thats his dog’s name
“Would that were true. I sure want it to be. But I dont trust politicians. Particularly out of that sinking Senate.”
Can’t blame you. I pray to God Cruz won’t betray us.
It truly was an extraordinary upbringing that Ted Cruz had as a young man. I found this paragraph and photo at debate.princeton.edu about the debate tournament named after Cruz.
Cruz Novice ChampionshipOne article posted earlier is a striking example in evidence of Rafael Cruz's assertion that Ted will not compromise his principles in Washington. Cruz sides with the public interest and against special interests in contrast to his predecessor (Kay Bailey Hutchison). It's a must read if you haven't seen it.The Ted Cruz Living Memorial Novice Championship is a Princeton-only intramural tournament for Debate Panel novices. The tournament is a way for novices to show off what theyve learned throughout the year, both to their friends on campus and to the rest of their teammates. Rounds are judged by Debate Panel varsity members. The tournament is named after Ted Cruz 92, the 1992 Team of the Year, the 1992 Speaker of the Year, the 1992 North American Debating Championship top speaker, and Princetons highest-ranked debater at the World Universities Debating Championship.

Cruzs ideology trumps Texas interests, businesses complain
I don’t trust politicians either. Ted Cruz tells you not to trust politicians. He says watch what they do, not what they say. So far, I have not found one instance where Cruz has done something for political expediency rather than principle. For instance, when he spoke to Iowa farmers about ethanol, unlike osme of the other candidates, Cruz was open about his position against ethanol subsidies and gave his reasons why. A typical politician would have avoided the subject, if possible.
Reflecting on your post, you are right that the bad Republicans are in the minority. Unfortunately for us, they are also in leadership positions.
He's just about the only person in D.C. who won't.
I stand with Ted
For instance, I knew Rafael Cruz had a degree in Mathematics but was not aware he also has a degree in Chemical Engineering (something we share in common). I also learned that in high school Ted expressed interest in computer science specializing in robotics or artificial intelligence, but his father gave him this advice:
"I said, 'Ted, you're a people person. You'd be crazy locked up in a cubbyhole.' And I said, 'And all you talk about is the Constitution,'" the elder Cruz recalled. "And so he said, 'You know, you're right.' So off he went to Princeton to study public policy."You can read a print version of the profile without all the website clutter at the link below. I think you will enjoy reading it.
Rafael Cruz finds success on speaking circuit as son runs for presidentThe original title of the article was "Rafael Cruz, father of Ted Cruz, stars as 2016 campaign super surrogate." Why they changed the title I don't know.
Rafael was featured on The 700 Club the other night. He is wonderful. No wonder Ted is so awesome!
Even Jesus had a bad apple in his leadership team.
